In a special event commemorating its 25th Anniversary, the school had the privilege to partner with WWF-Bhutan to celebrate today’s International Snow Leopard Day. The objective is to raise awareness about the endangered snow leopards and traditional Bhutanese arts and crafts, which share the same plight of vulnerability.
The school has adopted the snow leopard as its official mascot and created an animated video featuring snow leopard characters. Through this animation, the snow leopards communicate our mission to empower underprivileged youth with the knowledge and skills to protect and promote Bhutan’s traditional arts while providing a platform of visibility for the snow leopard aimed at our children and youth. The video and the comic “Chechey the Snow Leopard” was launched today alongside the exhibition of the student art competition on snow leopards and their conservation.
