Teacher’s Day Celebration

On May 2nd, Choki Traditional Art School joined the nation in celebrating Teachers’ Day, held on the birth anniversary of His Majesty the Second King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck—revered as the Father of Modern Bhutan and the visionary who introduced modern education to our country.

On this auspicious day, the school honored His Majesty and our beloved Monarchs, and extended heartfelt gratitude to teachers across Bhutan for their tireless dedication in transforming lives.

At CTAS, students organized a joyful celebration to thank their teachers. The day was filled with heartfelt gestures—cake cutting, showering teachers with gifts, offering lunch and snacks, and sharing entertainment. It was a wonderful occasion of appreciation, laughter, and togetherness, reminding us that teachers are the guiding lights who nurture talent, inspire creativity, and shape the future of Bhutan.

Teachers at CTAS hold a special place in this mission, as they not only impart vital skills to students but also contribute to the preservation of traditional arts and the shaping of Bhutan’s cultural identity.
